Darwin CBD is surrounded by the blue waters of the Timor and Arafura Sea as well as refreshing inland waterholes. These waters are also home to harmful marine creatures such as Crocodiles, Sharks and Dangerous Tropical Jellyfish, making it extremely important to read signs near waterways and only swim if red and yellow flags are present or it is signposted as a designated swimming area.
