Gurmeet Singh

Gurmeet is the director of the Life Course studies at the Menzies School of Health Research.  Her team has recently begun the 5th wave of follow-up of the Aboriginal Birth Cohort (ABC), the longest and largest Aboriginal Cohort study in Australasia. 

Concurrently, Gurmeet is a Specialist Paediatrician at Royal Darwin Hospital and an Associate Professor for the Flinders Northern Territory Medical program. She has dedicated over 22 years to Indigenous health, in paediatric medicine as well as in a health research capacity in the Northern Territory.  Her main area of interest is the relationship between early life factors and later health and chronic disease, particularly renal disease.
